Chicago Review 61.3/4 contains a special tribute to the late Cuban poet Juan Carlos Flores, one of the most important poets of his generation, guest edited and introduced by his translator Kristin Dykstra. It features work from fellow poets such as Reina María Rodríguez and Víctor Rodríguez Núñez and Katherine M. Hedeen; essays from Lizabel Mónica, Marie Laure Geoffray, Marta Hernández Salván, and Hank Lazer; and a previously unpublished text transcribed by Mayra López called “The Soliloquy of Juan Carlos Flores.”

The issue also has – of course! – some great new poetry and fiction, as well as our usual kickass reviews. Check it out! And buy a copy!
