Joseph Pizza is Assistant Professor of English at Belmont Abbey College, where he teaches courses in Modern and Contemporary Literature, African American Studies, and Anglophone Studies. Recent publications include essays on Gertrude Stein, A. B. Spellman, and Sean Bonney, as well as the critical study Dissonant Voices: Race, Jazz, and Innovative Poetics in Midcentury America.
