Maria Manti is a translator, screenwriter, and doctoral researcher in German and Comparative Literature at the University of Athens. Her research explores screenplay narrative, adaptation, and the modernist/postmodernist avant-garde. Her translations include work by Peter Flamm, Thomas Mann and Joy Williams; her essays have appeared in Paderborn University’s DiMaG and the Journal of Screenwriting. She is currently working on the book project The Clever Hans Effect. A sanatorium novella by Lord Macaulay Arden, and a study of the postmodern adapted screenplay.
