Marissa Fenley is a PhD candidate in English and Theater and Performance Studies at the University of Chicago. Her dissertation, Puppet Theory: Aesthetics of Adjacent Intimacy, examines puppetry performance practice and its literary, filmic, and televisual representation across the 20th and 21st centuries.
