Melanie Neilson is the author of Civil Noir, Natural Facts, and several chapbooks, including Reader Souvenir. Her poems are included in anthologies, most recently in Rage Baking: The Transformative Power of Flour, Fury, and Women’s Voices by Kathy Gunst and Katherine Alford, Tiller Press (2020). She works as an independent new media consultant and lives in New York City.
With Jessica Grim, she was a co-founder and editor of the 1990’s small press magazine Big Allis, which focused on experimental writing by women. Additional excerpts from their recently completed long-form collaborative work, The Autobiography of Jean Foos, have appeared in Bomb and Conjunctions.
