Karin Fellner was born in Munich in 1970, where she studied German, American, and comparative literature at the University of Munich. She continues to work there today as an editor, teacher, and moderator of literary events. She is the author of five volumes of poetry, including most recently »eins: zum andern« (2019), and is the recipient of several awards including the Leonce-und-Lena-Förderpreis in 2005, the Medienpreis of the Lyrikpreis Meran in 2012, and a Literaturstipendium Bayern in 2018.
